The Sopranos - S06E06 - Spotted in a fag bar in New York - Allegedly!

The only thing he ever knew finally escaped him, that line was like him dying without dying. Want to add to the discussion? Post a comment! They nailed that scene so well. Ah yes, I forgot about the eBay pictures. Submit a new text post. Become a Redditor and join one of thousands of communities. It's ironic because nobody really eats it outside of a few cultures. Junior has no access to his own money, he's giving Jorell? At the same time, I found myself feeling really bad for Junior, especially when Bobbi abandoned him. Submit a new link. Great scene. The saddest scene with Junior is when Tony comes to visit him for the last time. I do feel bad for him when he pisses his pants though. Throughout the show, even in his older age, he is one of the most vivacious, headstrong characters on the show. Junior had become a shadow of his former self. Tony tells Junior that he used to run north Jersey with his brother, and Junior's response is simply "that's nice"; not at all comprehending what he's being told. A lot of it was really funny. He basically lost what was left of him when Miles beat the shit out of him. They play it so real. I'm surprised that this doesn't get talked about more because its pure comedy. And he'll end up buried on the hill by the river with Richie. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that from that moment forth Junior effectively gives up on life and allows himself to become docile. That was sad as fuck for me. Fuckin idiot Absolutely hilarious. Those are two crime syndicates I didn't see joining forces. I love using the phrase that the corrupt hospital worker uses with junior, "Don't count MY money nigga. I love that poker game, what an exercise in futility that whole thing was. And yeah, it could have just been his watch. The candy bars and sodas don't add up, Junior had to be digging into his wallet for all of that. A powerful and feared gangster reduced to dementia in a halfway house, still trying to maintain some dignity by setting up the poker game like in his glory days. Here's my probably lame happy wanderer spin on that - maybe he does remember he was a part of that, but doesn't remember Tony and is pretending he doesn't know what the mob is like he's supposed to? I love how his protege in those scenes is the villain from Rush Hour. Either way, he was digging into his own resources. Great episode. Always found the poker scene kind of sad to be honest. Instead of tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in poker chips, they're playing with confectionery and buttons. It was sad watching him degrade like that. Bobby's dead Junior: Ambassador Hotel The thinking mans game! Junior pissing himself, telling old funny jokes to a bunch of mental patients, the card games with candy and sodas, telling all his visitors they gotta get him out of there and the gun malfunctioned when he shot Tony, the chinese kid beating him up, the letter to Dick Cheney, the beating he put down on the professor. I imagine that was not allowed, if the home had found out about it. Been wondering about that line for years now. That last scene with Junior staring listlessly out a window while seated in that wheelchair takes me right back to visiting my grandfather at the Alzheimer's ward. We taught the world how to eat. When he tries cracking the jokes like how Feech and Tony did in other scenes during the game it doesn't work as well. Use of this site constitutes acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy. Junior's boutineer quip made me wonder if Junior retained some semblance of mental competence, as he showed a glimpse of that characteristic mordant humor. All rights reserved. Welcome to Reddit, the front page of the internet. And the money Junior must've been giving to that corrupted attendant to pay for that watch. I agree with everything you said, except that the Asian boy beating up Junior, leading into the final scene with an obviously fully-deranged Junior petting the cat, always makes me really sad.
